Unions 21 is pleased to welcome The Bakers Food and Allied Workers Union (BFAWU) to our union forum.
BFAWU is the largest independent trade union in the food sector and represents employees from production at factories through to sales in shops.
Becky Wright, Exec Director of Unions 21 says 'BFAWU members were on the front line during the pandemic and it was incredible to see how the union managed to engage and represent members during that time. BFAWU's support in bringing together our Changing World of Work report has been invaluable as we grapple with the challenges that workers are facing right now, and the impact that has on membership, activism and wins.'
Sarah Woolley, General Secretary says 'We are excited to be part of the Unions 21. The Changing World of Work report we were involved in played a huge part in the executive's decision to make the relationship formal due to it quality and relevance to the BFAWU, we look forward to working with Unions 21 and our sister unions going forwards.’
