Representatives from our supporter unions held discussions today with Lord John Hutton and pensions Minister Steve Webb, chaired by Unions 21 steering committee chair Sue Ferns.
Issues discussed included: facts and myths about public sector pensions; cost sharing and capping arrangements; openness and consultation and impact on existing staff engagement.
The meetings followed the publication earlier this year of our debate piece 'Tomorrow's Pensions' and came ahead of our Labour Party Conference fringe: Rally for Fair Pensions.
