Applications are now open for the 2026/7 cohort of Future Leaders, our leadership development programme for union officers who want to build the skills to lead through what's coming next.
Taking place over six months and held across Leuven, London and Dublin*, Future Leaders runs between November 2026 and May 2027 and is a combination of four in-person and online modules - all designed for union officers ready to grow into bigger leadership roles.
Participants will learn about strategic planning, leadership, culture and AI, with a simulation exercise later in the programme that allows participants to run a fictitious union for 24 hours - facing a series of real scenarios and challenges.
The programme is led by our Executive Director Becky Wright, who's spent over 20 years working for and with trade unions around the world. There will also be a range of interesting speakers on a variety of topics.
Take a look at our brochure to find out more.
* Please note - accommodation costs are included in the course fees and bookings will be arranged by Unions 21; however, all travel must be paid for and arranged through your union.
